KARANTJAS, Arthur - March 20, 1948 - July 21, 2022
It is with deep sadness and much love we announce the passing of Arthur Lindy Karantjas, surrounded by family, at 74 years of age, on July 21, 2022.
Beloved husband of Ann Karantjas (nee Berendsen) for nearly 50 years. Loving father to Nicholas (Jennifer), Julia (David), Elliot (Bo San), and Gabriel (Jennifer). Proud Dedo to Theodore, William, Charlie, Gordon, Frederick, Naomi, and Sophia.
He will also be greatly missed by his University of Waterloo Engineering family, extended family, and many friends.
Art grew up in Toronto with his sister, Jeanette, and parents, Faye and Lindy.
He proudly attended the University of Waterloo and graduated with a Masters of Civil Engineering along with a lifelong crew of friends.
He married the love of his life, Ann, in 1972 at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, and together they raised their family in North York.
He will be remembered by all for his warm smile and hugs, kind spirit, and quick-witted sense of humour.
Visitation will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centres on Tuesday, July 26th, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, July 27th, at 2 p.m. at the above location with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson's Canada in memory of Arthur Karantjas would be appreciated by the family.
