Krumins SabinaKRUMINS, Sabina Bernadette Aija   - June 22, 1945 - July 21, 2022

With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Sabina Bernadette Aija Krumins.

Beloved mother to Dyniss and Emil Rainer; cherished sister to Agnes, Jolita (Frank) and Norbert (PJ) Krumins; dear daughter of predeceased Edgar and Eugenia Krumins.

Sabina was born in 1945 in a refugee camp in Germany after her parents escaped Latvia.

Her father, Edgar, subsequently came to Canada, secured a safe landing spot for Sabina and the maternal side of her (mother Eugenia's) family, and they joined Edgar via ship shortly thereafter.

As a young child, Sabina began her life in Canada. Sabina was a cat rescuer/fancier, animal and bird lover, and maker of special gardens. She loved beautiful music, the arts, singing soprano in her Catholic Church choir, her family, and good food.

She was a creative person, and the owner/operator extraordinaire of the former Heavenly Cats & Friends stores.

She was passionate about many things, but mostly her boys; they were her world.

Donations in her memory may be made to The Toronto Humane Society or The Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Visitation: Tuesday, July 26th, 6-8 p.m., at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home (467 Sherbourne St, Toronto). Funeral Mass: Wednesday, July 27th, 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (520 Sherbourne St, Toronto).

In honour of Sabi, as she was well known, please (no pressure) wear something sparkly and think of her.
