SCROFANO, Doreen (nee NEGLIA) - It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Doreen Scrofano (nee Neglia) suddenly, on July 29, 2022 at her home in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe (Joe) Scrofano; Doreen will be dearly missed by her daughter, Marie Scrofano (Gabriel Sanchez); and son, Franc Scrofano.
Doreen will be fondly remembered and missed by her grandchildren, Matthew, Gabrielle and Marcus. Dear sister to Victor, Linda, Joanne and Marian.
Doreen was born in Toronto on March 27, 1945, attended Danforth Technical School; worked as an administrator followed by a 27 year career in the grocery sector, mainly with Miracle Food Mart.
Family and friends may gather at Jerrett Funeral Home "Scarborough" 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, ON, on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday August 5, 2022 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11 a.m.
Donations may be made to the Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, in lieu of flowers.
