Finneran JohnFINNERAN, John Anthony  -   Passed away in Toronto, on Monday, August 1, 2022, at the age of 82, after a year-long battle with cancer.

His warmth and kindness will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Jacki; daughters, Emma, Sarah (spouse, Jon) and son, David (spouse, Daniella).

John is also survived by his brother, Andrew (spouse Meryl); and three sisters, Mary, Kathleen (deceased spouse Jack) and Anne (spouse Carl) residing in BC.

In London, UK, he leaves behind two grandchildren, George and Olivia; and other relatives in England and Ireland.

Born in Birmingham, UK, schooled in Staffordshire and then served two years in the British Army in Singapore, John soon found his passion for work.

He enjoyed a long and successful career in newspaper marketing and advertising, first at the Evening Standard and then as Advertising Director at the Daily Express in London, in the 1970s.

Joining his parents and siblings, he moved his own family to Vancouver, BC, in 1980 and then to Toronto in 1985, to become head of the Newspaper Marketing Bureau, which he ran successfully for many years.

John's humour, laughter and generosity was an inspiration and will always be remembered. He is truly loved by all of us and will be missed everyday.

Funeral Service will be held on August 16th, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's United Church, 262 Randall St., Oakville, L6J 1P9.
