ROUNOPOULOS, Charilaos (Harry) - 1935 - 2022 Passed away on August 8, 2022, aged 86, in Messinia, Greece.
Dearly missed by his devoted wife of 51 years, Ekaterini; daughters, Kathy and Vicky; and son-in-law, Marcelo.
Also survived by his sister, Ioanna; sister-in-law, Demetra (late Lycourgos); nephews, Demetri, Bill (Tina); and niece, Mary (Peter); and extended family in Greece.
Predeceased by his brother, Lycourgos; and sister, Maria.
Harry was born on October 17, 1935 in Pylos, Greece. He left Greece in 1956, bound for Australia, and immigrated to Canada in 1960.
After a lifetime of hard work in the restaurant business, Harry retired in 2015.
He moved to Toronto to be closer to his children, where he enjoyed the beautiful vistas afforded by the Don Valley. Harry was gentle and kind, with an insatiable curiosity and keen sense of justice.
Above all, he was a loving and devoted family man. We would like to thank Dr. Francesco Leanza at Toronto Western Hospital and Dr. James Stevenson at Michael Garron Hospital, for the wonderful care they provided to Harry. A 40-Day
Memorial will be held at St. Irene Chrysolovantou Greek Orthodox Church in Toronto, on Saturday, September 17th, at 9:00 a.m.
