HALPERN, Mark   -  On Monday evening, September 26, 2022 at the too young age of 54, Mark passed away at home surrounded by his family and closest friends.

With amazing strength, courage and determination, Mark battled cancer, never letting it define him.

Mark was the adoring husband of the late Lynne, and loving father of their children, Zachary and Zoe.

Devoted son of Rebecca (Bunny) and Sam Halpern, much beloved brother and brother-in-law of Wendy and Steven Handler, and their children, Michael, Jessie and Kayla Handler.

Also survived by mother-in-law Jean Carpenter, sister-in-law Susan and Wayne Noble, and Wendy and Phillip Delnick as well as nieces and nephews Anthony DiRosa, and Mikaela and Casey Delnick.

He will be warmly remembered by Aunt Ray and Uncle Ernie, his cousins, and a legion of devoted friends, and colleagues.

Ambitious and determined to succeed, from modest beginnings in Pickering flea market while still in university, he built a successful chain of retail stores...Kitchen Stuff Plus. He was a retailer extraordinaire who thrived on the challenges of his business.

The family would also acknowledge the loving care provided by Jennifer de Campo and nurse Margaret Mensah.

At Benjamins Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West, Toronto, for service on Thursday, September 29, at 12:00 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Rethink Breast Cancer (416) 220-0700, Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
