Rigg JenniferRIGG, Jennifer (nee DICKIE) Rigg   - Jennifer, a poet, author and beloved wife, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully in Toronto on October 30, 2022.

Born in Belgaum, India on March 4, 1939, and schooled in India, Singapore, York, and St. Andrews, she was a woman of immense depth and latitude.

These qualities were enhanced by meeting the (later renowned) medievalist, Professor George Rigg, in Oxford, with whom she had a whirlwind romance spanning more than 50 years until his death in 2019.

They moved to Canada in 1968 when George took a professorship at the University of Toronto. Jennifer went on to publish four novels and author numerous articles of verse.

She is survived by her nephews, Niall and Rupert, and niece, Dido.

The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care and the Hennick Bridgepoint Hospice.

A Service of Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19th at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jennifer's name to an animal shelter/Charity of Your Choice .
