Philp DougPHILP, Doug   - October 14, 1931 – November 16, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doug Philp, beloved husband, wonderful father, and loving grandpa, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Trillium Health Partners Hospital in Mississauga.

Doug passed peacefully, and is now in the company of his wife, Jackie (predeceased 2020); and son, Greg (predeceased 2014); along with many other family members.

Doug is survived by his children, Doug Philp (Kingston) and Marti Philp (Toronto); grandchildren, Kyla Couturier (Philp) and husband, Denis Couturier (Belleville), Maegan Philp and husband, Nick Leblanc (Provost), Evan Loates (Toronto), and Ben Loates (Toronto).

Doug graduated from Woodsworth College, University of Toronto, in 1959 and was an active supporter of the UTAA for many years, later serving as president of UofT's Senior Alumni Association.

Doug enjoyed a fulfilling business career in data processing and sales and served as President of the Data Processing Management Association (DPMA) for several years.

As busy as Doug was in his career, he managed a work/life balance that always allowed for family, friends, recreation, travel and, of course, his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.

He is missed beyond measure and will remain in our hearts forever.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Sunday November 27, 2022 from 2-5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to local chapters of the Alzheimer Society.
