Blanche de Freitas died peacefully, at Providence Care Centre.
She was born in Mombasa, Kenya, the second of five children of Salustiano and Laura de Freitas.
She is survived by her sister, Greta de Souza (Cedric) of Calgary; her sister-in-law, Ilda de Freitas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Pina Cardoso, Carmen Mascarenhas and Joviano de Freitas.
A Funeral Mass, celebrated by her godson, Father Raymond J. de Souza, will be held on December 6, 2022, in Calgary.
She will be interred, alongside her mother, sister, and brother, at Holy Cross Cemetery in Toronto; details will be published later.
