Statler SandraSTATLER, Sandra   -   Sandra passed away on December 6, 2022, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

She is survived by her brother, Paul (Pat); her niece, Lynda (Andrew); her nephew, Ron (Mary); her nephew, Greg (Sylvia); and her four great-nieces, Julie, Dylan, Holly, and Ella.

She was predeceased by her great-nephew, Michael, on August 13, 2021; and her sister, Aynne, on April 2, 2011.

Sandra was a primary teacher with the Toronto District School Board at Christie, Regent Park Junior, and Brown Schools. Her life was enriched by the children and by their families.

From 1970-72 she was on loan to the Department of National Defence, teaching in Lahr, Germany.

1980-82 found her in Vancouver, BC, on an inter-provincial teacher exchange.

Both opportunities proved to be exceptional gifts. Upon retirement, Sandra morphed into a yoga instructor.

A transformative two decades followed for her and for those who practiced with her.

Her diagnosis of esophageal cancer, a year ago, was shocking.

But Sandra carried on with grace, supported every step of the way by the love of family and dear friends.

She will live on in the memory of the many lives she touched.
