McCleary LetaMcCLEARY, Leta Iris (nee LOWES)   -  Peacefully, passed away in Toronto, on December 8, 2022.

Born November 23, 1928, at the family farm in Downers Corners.

Predeceased by her lifelong friend and husband of 74 years, George.

Loving mother to Margaret Anne, Darlene Braybrook (Rick), Linda Prior (Lynn) and doting grandmother to Michael, Jennifer (Daniel), Christopher and Bradley.

She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Ana and Rowena, her longtime caregivers were beloved by Leta and became an important part of her family.

Leta loved entertaining. She and George's gatherings were famous and, when she wasn't busy cooking, she could be found laughing with family and friends.

Leta loved spending time gardening and took joy watching the birds and butterflies amongst her flowers. She also spent many hours cheering on her favourite hockey team, the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The family would like to thank the staff on 10 South at Mt. Sinai Hospital for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be held at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge St,, Richmond Hill, on Sunday, December 11th, from 2-5 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be held at Marshall Funeral Home, on Monday, December 12th, at 11 a.m. followed by Interment.
