WILSON, Catherine Inez Edith   -  January 12, 1935 – December 7, 2022

The family is sad to announce the passing of Catherine Inez Wilson.

Catherine passed away peacefully on December 7, 2022, at Westpark Long-Term Care Centre.

She was the cherished wife of John Wilson; beloved daughter of Frederick and Inez Hollyman; and idolized sister of Bob Hollyman.

She will be greatly missed by her friends and family, nephews, Ryan and Rhys Hollyman; niece, Monica; and great-nephew, Arilo James Hollyman.

She was born on January 12, 1935, and dedicated much of her life to being one of the best, most loved and caring teachers.

She spent her long and tenured career at numerous schools in and out of the Greater Toronto Area, helping guide thousands of students through facing and overcoming daily scholastic and life challenges, and she was always so invested and proud of their successes.

She was a charitable person and had a fierce and protective love of all animals and the environment, and always wanted the world to be a better place for all who inhabited it.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 3 p.m., with a visitation an hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be to World Wildlife ( or Pet Trust (
