Baker AnitaBAKER, Anita (nee DeCARLI)   -  June 19, 1937 - December 12, 2022

Our beloved mother and loving wife passed away peacefully, at the age of 85, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

Predeceased by her parents, Remo and Julia DeCarli, she leaves behind her loving husband and soul mate of 62 years, Edward (Eddie).

She will be greatly missed by her four sons, Ted (Joanne), Mark (Sandra), Peter (Kim) and Stephen (Leslie).

Loving grandmother to Benjamin, Zachary, Matthew, Sean, Jacqueline, Madeline, Ryan and Abby, and sister to Arnold DeCarli (Patti).

She will be greatly missed by her many close friends and extended DeCarli/Baker families. Anita's care and compassion for those in need was truly inspiring.

Over the years she served as board/executive committee member of Tobias House Attendant Care, the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto and the Ontario Association of Family Service Agencies.

She also held the positions of Chair for the Metropolitan Toronto District Health Council, Chair of the Don Mills Foundation for Seniors and Chair of Catholic Family Services.

The family would like to thank Danielle and all of the caregivers and nurses on the 2nd floor at Amica Unionville.

We will be forever grateful for their care and support of Anita.

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (at Davisville) on Friday, December 16th from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Bonaventure's Church on Saturday, December 17th at 10:30 a.m., with interment at Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations in Anita's memory made to the Alzheimer Society of York Region would be appreciated.
