FURUKAWA, Takashi "Pepsi" - Passed away peacefully, at Norfolk General Hospital, on Monday, December 19, 2022, Tak "Pepsi" Furukawa of Port Rowan, in his 86th year.
Tak was born in Stevenson (Richmond), BC, to his late parents, Chuzo and Mina (Atagi) Furukawa.
Beloved husband of Catherine (Campbell), who were married on September 16, 1988.
Dear brother of Sakura "Sherry" Nagata (late Ken) of Toronto, Hiroshi "Larry" and his wife, Betty of Mississauga; Midori and her husband, Paul Goodenough of Six Mile Lake. Also survived by his sister-in-law Naomi Furukawa (late Akira "Aki") of Toronto.
Proud uncle to 21, granduncle to 23, great-granduncle to 7. Also predeceased by his brothers, Minoru "Min", Isao "Isa" and Kiyoshi "Kiyo" Furukawa. He will be fondly remembered by the Campbell Family. Tak "Pepsi" lived a full life. He loved skiing, and the travel that came with the ski holidays, golfing and going to dances and loved the summer cottage life. After retiring, he and Cathy would travel in the motor home.
A Celebration of Life gathering will take place at the Villages of Long Point Bay Club House, 26 Long Point Blvd., Port Rowan, on January 7, 2023, from 1-3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Haldimand - Norfolk, would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements with the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, Port Rowan.
