DOHERTY, Julie (nee KOTWA)   -  Born April 25, 1931, in Toronto, daughter of Jozefa and Jan Kotwa.

Julie passed away peacefully on December 30, 2022.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph; and two sons, James and Leo. Julie was born into a loving family, the youngest of six children, and was very proud of her Polish heritage.

She raised a large family and was a kind-hearted, selfless and dedicated mother, and friend, and an inspiration to us all. She loved everyone equally and unconditionally, and everyone loved her. She was eternally optimistic.

Julie is lovingly remembered by her children, Jo-Anne (Ian), Linda (James), Briane (Wendy), Teri (Bob) and Joseph; grandchildren, Patricia (Glen), Terry, Nichole, Christopher (Danielle), Briane Jay, Erin (Sy) and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Brittany, Marty, Talon, Brantley, Aiden, Charlotte and Bryson; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas Street West, on Sunday, January 8th, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass for Julie will be celebrated on Monday, January 9th, at 9:30 a.m. at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Road. Interment will follow.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at the Village of Humber Heights for their loving and compassionate care of Julie. Online condolences may be sent to Lynett Funeral Home (www.arbormemorial.ca/en/lynett). If desired, an in memoriam donation may be made to The Daily Bread Food Bank.
