Cockfield DavidCOCKFIELD, David (Dave) Michael   -  October 2, 1937 - December 21, 2022

Dave drifted quietly away on the winter solstice. He was the loving husband of Joanne.

He will be remembered by his four devoted children, six grandchildren and a large extended family.

As an esteemed Chartered Financial Analyst, and one of the first graduates of Queen's MBA program, Dave had an illustrious career that spanned six decades and included providing advice on Business News Network.

Dave will be missed as an advisor, mentor, and a friend. Dave's great joy was his regular trips to Marco Island, Florida where he captained his pontoon boat on adventures to fish, explore and soak up the sun.

As a master meteorologist, gardener, and wildlife enthusiast, he spent his weekends, tending tomato plants, feeding the raccoons, and protecting his goldfish pond. His mantra was "don't sweat the small stuff". He was known for his macgyvering fixes of everything from foundations to roofs. Dave was truly unique and had a full, well-lived life.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for the spring. Please send requests to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Contributions to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are appreciated.
