RIZZO, Pasquale - It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Pasquale Rizzo announces his passing on January 13, 2023, in his 90th year.
Born in Rende, Per. Cosenza, Italy, on July 16, 1932, he was a beloved husband of 66 years to Maria Gradita Rizzo.
Loving father of Francesca Zuccarini (late John Zuccarini) (life partner, Jeff Macko), late Gabriele Rizzo, and Joseph Rizzo (Janice).
Grandfather of Maria (Dave), late Pasquale, Diana (Vlad), Matthew (Amanda), Loretta (Sal), Sabrina (Paul), Stephanie and Lyndsey. Great-grandfather of John-Aiden, Jordan, Gage, Vincent, and Amelia.
Pasquale worked at Christie's for 40 years as a baker and then security. He enjoyed pastimes such as gardening with his wife and watching his favourite NHL team, the Montreal Canadiens. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends.
The family of Pasquale would like to extend their gratitude to all his caregivers, doctors, and the hospital staff at Humber River Hospital and West Park Rehabilitation Centre.
He will be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends, and neighbours.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
