Williams ReginaldWILLIAMS, Reginald "Reg" Williams   -  Passed away peacefully, on January 11, 2023, at The Wexford Residences in Toronto, following a year-long battle with health issues complicated by blood cancer.

Reg is survived by his wife, Faye; and their loving son, Michael (Jasmine).

Born in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, on February 21, 1938, Reg was a descendant of the 1865 settlers of Africville in Halifax.

He moved to Toronto in 1956 looking for better employment opportunities.

Reg joined the transportation industry, and owned and operated a transport truck for most of his adult life.

After retiring from the industry at age 65, he decided to work part-time at Home Depot.

Reg truly enjoyed working at Home Depot, golfing each week with family in the summer, bowling each week in the winter, family Caribbean vacations and family game nights.

Reg was a compassionate, kind and loving man, with a great sense of humour who loved to give (and receive) hugs.

He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends he gathered along life's journey.

The family would like to thank his dear friend, Linda Troy, for her love and support for Reg and his family during his illness. We would also like to thank the wonderful staff at The Wexford Residences who made his final days comfortable.

Reg did not want a traditional funeral, but wished to provide the opportunity for all his family and friends to come together and support one another while celebrating a life well-lived.

The family will hold a Celebration of Reg's Life at a later date, family and friends will be notified.

In memory of Reg, please consider a donation to his favourite charity, SickKids Foundation, or to a Charity of Your Choice.
