May 24, 1924 – February 22, 2023

It is with love and sadness that we grieve the peaceful passing of Ethel Christina Newton on February 22, 2023 at the age of 98.

Daughter of Christina (Bevans) Hyslop and Emery Hyslop of Saint John New Brunswick, Ethel grew up in Saint John and graduated from Saint John Vocational School.

On November 2, 1942, Ethel married Kenneth G. Newton. When he returned from WWII, they began their family resulting in 4 sons, Kenny, Larry, Stephen and Kevin.

Ethel and Kenneth moved to Ontario in the late 60's to be closer to the family.

Ethel is predeceased by Kenneth her spouse of 78 years, her sons Kenny and Larry, mother Christina, father Emery, brother Donald and sister Connie.

Ethel will be dearly missed by her brother Emery Hyslop, sons Steve (Rose) and Kevin (Theresa), daughters in law Linda Newton and Rosemary Newton, grandchildren Cindy, Christina, Scott, Kelly, Kenny, Cheryl and Stephanie, several great grandchildren and extended family members.

Ethel adored and loved all of her family.

As per Ethel's wishes there will be no funeral and a Celebration of her Life will be held at a future date.

May GOD Bless Her Soul.
