Waksdale ValerieWAKSDALE, Valerie   - Passed away peacefully, on March 7, 2023, at the age of 76, with her family by her side.

She is survived by her son, Ben (Erin); and her daughter, Carlie (Andrew).

Nana to her grandchildren: Olivia, Ava, and Theo.

Devout wife of Ron (predeceased); sister to Virginia and Lloyd. She graduated from Riverdale High School and went on to become an X-ray technician at St. Mike's Hospital.

She also volunteered with the YWCA and the Aphasia Institute. Known for her great sense of humor, she was kind, fun, warm and loving, and always lit up a room.

Val had fond memories with family and friends at the cottage on Moose Lake. She cherished her loved ones – a good cosmopolitan (with ice) and crab legs.

Her pastimes included a game of bridge and being out and about hunting for a good deal.

No one liked the sound of silence more than Val; God help you if you woke her from her slumber. Rest easy.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Aphasia Institute.

There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
