HOLEN, Geraldine (nee BISSONNETTE)   -

November 14, 1931 - March 5, 2023

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Gerry after several months of declining health.

Daughter of Zeno and Mary Bissonnette; predeceased by her loving husband, Kevin.

Loving mother of Christopher, Elizabeth (Gary) and Jennifer. Cherished grammy of Michael and Brenda.

Dear sister of Theresa. Special aunt and friend to Catherine (Alex) and many nieces and nephews.

Gerry's sense of humour endeared her to everyone she met, especially the staff and students of St. John Fisher School, where she was school secretary for many years.

Gerry's strength through many illnesses was a testament to her strong faith.

She had a special devotion to Ste. Marguerite Bourgeois and attended her canonization in Rome with friends from Notre Dame. Gerry was a gourmet cook and enjoyed entertaining in her home and at the lake. From childhood, Gerry was an avid reader and collector of books.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1300 Leslie Street, Toronto, at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 13th, with reception immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care would be most appreciated.
