GARNETT, Richard  -

October 23, 1932 - March 16, 2023

Richard passed away peacefully, after a long struggle with illness.

He was the beloved husband of sixty years to Vicki, loving father to Emma, Tessa, Daniel (Coleen) and David (Natalie).

Richard was proud grandfather to William, Madeleine and Dylan. Born in Benoni, South Africa, Richard met Vicki in England where they started a family before immigrating to South Africa, eventually settling in Canada.

Richard had a long career and will be remembered for running the fundraising charities for the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto and Calgary, as well as the Anglican Diocese of Toronto.

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville), from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21st. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anselm's Parish, 1 MacNaughton Road, Toronto, on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Doctors Without Borders (www.doctorswithoutborders.ca).
