KOLODEJ, Dr. Paul - Dr. Paul Kolodej has suddenly and unexpectedly passed away at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, on March, 21, 2023, age 72, due to brief illness.
He was born in Slovakia and educated in Edmonton, University of Alberta, where he joined his family in 1967.
Dr. Paul Kolodej, Bsc,M.D., Surgery, fellowship in Surgery, Msc in Experimental Surgery, PhD candidate in Experimental surgery, ABEM, was highly achieved medical doctor with distinguished career dedicated to advancement of Science and Medicine, with multiple patents, publications, teaching residents and medical students and working at foremost Hospitals in Edmonton, Toronto, Boston, MA-lifelong affiliation, and Emory affiliated Hospitals in Georgia, associated with founders of Pain Medicine.
He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Augustin Kolodej and Veronika Kolodej (Chrenek Pucat); and is survived by Dr. Vera Kolodej and Dagmar Kolodej, and large extended family of many cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews in Canada, USA and Europe.
Private funeral will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at St. Joseph's Chapel, Holy Cross Funeral Home.
Large family celebration of his life will be held at later date.
