Stewart HelenSTEWART, Helen   -  Our beloved, sweet Helen Stewart, peacefully passed away, on March 21, 2023, at the age of 90.

 

Born into a large farming family in Ituna, Saskatchewan, on April 2, 1932, Helen lived in Toronto for most of her life and worked as a registered nurse for St. Michael's, Sick Kids, and Ina Grafton Gage Home, and volunteered for many causes including the St. Mike's Breast Cancer Clinic.

 

She was an avid singer in the OLPH church choir.

 

Helen was married to Sherman (who passed away in 1974) and was devoted to her only daughter, Melissa.

Helen leaves behind her much-loved sisters, Sr. Florentine and Lillian; and her brother, Nester. Helen is reunited with her parents, Dora and Tony; and her older siblings, Anne, Tony, Kay, Martha, Stanley, and Natalie.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 78 Clifton Road, Toronto, where all who loved Helen are welcome. A Celebration of Life will be held later (details TBD).

 

In lieu of flowers, please kindly make a donation to Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, in her honour (thepmcf.ca).
