Abbott WilfridABBOTT, Wilfrid Ross   -  Ross Abbott is dead (that is what our Ange wanted us to say).

He died on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in Lindsay, at the age of 89, three months shy of his 90th birthday.

Ross was the beloved husband of Karen Abbott (née Tuckey). He was the much-loved father of Kirsten Abbott-West (Mike), Ken Abbott (Dawn Scott) and Keely Abbott (Neil MacKinnon). He was born in Toronto to parents, Wilf Abbott and Olive Legrow.

Dear brother of Loretta Robertson and the late Donna Renaud (the late Bill). Ange will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Jordan West (Marlon Rivera); twins, Hunter MacKinnon (Robin Adeline) and Morgan MacKinnon (Jesse O'Halloran); Quentin West (Corrina Brabham) and Tyler Abbott (Sierra Weir). Sadly, Ross never got to meet his great-grandson in person, Khari Johnathan West.

His ladies, Brave and Little One, will miss their cuddles and treats. Also loved by his in-laws, his many nieces, nephews and godchildren; and by friends from his many circles.

He was a chartered accountant and master income tax preparer for family and friends.

His sport of choice was curling and he was an excellent second. He and Karen had many wonderful trips, including Italy, Ireland, South Africa, Florida, Nova Scotia, driving to California and especially, summers at Balsam Lake, which became their home in 2021. He had a strong faith and a great love of family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Bonaventure's Church, 1300 Leslie Street, Toronto, on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family. Faith, family, friends.
