Adamson WilfridADAMSON, Wilfrid Lawrence (Larry)  -   Wilfrid Lawrence (Larry) Adamson died suddenly in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, in May 2023, of a stroke.

He was 77.

Larry was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Business Administration (HBA) degree with the Class of 1970.

After graduation, Larry worked at various jobs in Toronto. While employed at General Publishing and Musson in 1979, he met his true love, Pamela Slater, on a blind date.

They moved in together in a matter of months.

In 1984, Larry and Pam moved from Toronto to Tuktoyaktuk, where Larry worked in economic development for the Government of the Northwest Territories. This was a happy time for Larry, as he helped people bring their business ideas to life. The GNWT would be his employer until his retirement in 2007.

Predeceased by his parents, Wilf and Rhea Adamson; and by his brother, Bryan Adamson, Larry leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend, Pamela Slater; his loving sister, Gail Adamson; sister-in-law, Maire Adamson; brother-in-law, Gordon Slater, along with a niece, nephews, and their families.

A Celebration of lLife is planned, and will be private. If you wish, a contribution to Spruce Bough in Yellowknife would be appreciated. Spruce Bough | Yellowknife Women's Society (ykws.ca). It's an initiative Larry supported wholeheartedly. A donation to your local food bank would also honour Larry, if you prefer.
