After a long illness, now at peace.
Recently from Midland and Pickering, originally from Toronto.
Daughter of the late Frances (Woods) and Wray Barrett; sister of Peter; aunt to Richard, Andrew, Katherine, Michael and Mary Anne; and great-aunt to five.
Liz drew strength from her firm belief in God, and from her faith community.
Grateful thanks to all the caregivers who supported Liz and helped her to live in her own home on her own terms for many years; as well as to all the helpful staff at Hillcrest Village Care Centre, who took care of Liz during her stay there. Cremation has taken place.
Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Parish, 796 Eyer Dr., Pickering, Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the MS Society of Canada, your local animal shelter, or to your local mental health services would be appreciated.
