Shen FelixSHEN Felix Mao Chun -  Fellix, whose contagious happiness touched all who knew him, passed away peacefully in his 98th year, on Monday, October 2, 2023.

Felix was born on July 21, 1926 in the village of Huamei in Chaozhou, China.

He moved to Hong Kong in his teenage years where he met his wife, Wang Kan Shen (nee Chang,) whom he shared 46 years with until her passing in 2002.

On April 7, 1968, the couple and their three young sons immigrated to Canada - a place Felix often referred to as the greatest country in the world.

He and Wang Kan proudly supported their sons in their entrepreneurial path to build Aastra, a Canadian technology company.

In his later years, Felix married Florence Kingston, his wife for the last two decades.

Together, they explored the world through travel and maintained an active lifestyle, with Felix swimming several times a week at the Granite Club until he reached the remarkable age of 95.

He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his wife, Florence Kingston; his three sons, Tony (Claudia), Francis (Eleanor) and Carmel (Anna); his seven grandchildren, Tristan, Madeleine (Manu), Wesley, Martin (Sasha), Andrew, Emerson (Remi) and Alvin; and his two great-granddaughters, Emilia and Louise.

Felix will forever be remembered for his infectious and charismatic joy, a legacy that will continue to warm the hearts of generations to come.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles - Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue, on October 6th, from 10:00 a.m. for visitation and 11:00 a.m. for the memorial service, with a reception to follow from 1:00 p.m. at the Rosedale Golf Club, 1901 Mount Pleasant Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the UHN Foundation or to a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated.
