TOMLINSON, John Patrick "Pat" Tomlinson  -  Passed away peacefully, in the comfort of his home, on October 2, 2023, surrounded by his family, and lifelong best friend.

Devoted and loving husband of Lynn, for over 28 years; and proud and most adoring father of Emma and Patrick.

If you knew Pat, then you'd know these three were his whole world; forever touting them as "his greatest achievement".

Greatly loved and deeply missed by the person who taught him the meaning of family, Joann, who shared her life and love in raising Pat as her own. Pat is now reunited with his mother, Gloria.

He is survived by his father, Rick (Janet); his siblings, Robin, Kelly, Jodi, Jeff, and their families.

Pat will be missed dearly by his father-in-law, Anthony (the late Marie); and brother-in-law, David Kapsa. He will be sadly missed by his countless friends whom he too considered family.

Pat had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humour. His fierce loyalty and originality were just a fraction of his big personality. He was larger than life: a true storyteller with the ability to light up the room with his smile.

He will be remembered for his unwavering strength, and his consistent ability to persevere, seldom letting an obstacle get in his way. He was resolutely persistent about caring for the things and people that mattered most to him.

Pat was everyone's big brother, and will be missed by all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

Arrangements to come for Pat's Celebration of Life.  Resting at Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (north of Rexdale Blvd.), on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 3 – 5 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Transfiguration of Our Lord Church, 45 Ludstone Drive, Toronto, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research .
