BENSON, Jean E. (nee Kirkpatrick) - It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Jean Benson in Oakville on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in her 92nd year.
Jean was born in Grand Falls, NB, to Elder and Eva Kirkpatrick.
She grew up and attended school in Woodstock, NB and later Mount Allison University.
Jean raised her family in Pointe Claire, QC and the family cottage on Chateaugay Lake, NY, where many cherished memories were created.
Upon retirement in 1986, Jean and Don divided their time between Clearwater and Oakville where they had many friends.
Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Don in 2013.
She will be sadly missed by her five children: Kirk (Pauline), Kim (Colleen), Mark (Cathy), Jill (Tobin) and Lynn (James), nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was proud of each of them.
A private family celebration of Jean's life has been arranged.
