Johannisse JohannaJOHANNISSE, Johanna Anne  - 2/27/1930 - 10/26/2017

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the age of 87.

Predeceased by her husband Pieter and son Peter (Kim nee Gray) Johannisse.

She is survived by her brother Harold (Ann) Bens. Johanna will be fondly remembered and deep missed by her nephew Brian (Julie), their children Noah, Emily, Carter, family and friends.

Retired from General Motors, she was also a past Director of the Fernie Home and President for two terms of the local chapter of Amnesty International.

She was a past Elder of the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and involved in the Mat Making Project where participants wove sleeping mats for children overseas from discarded plastic milk bags at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Ajax

A visitation will be held in the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax, 905 428-8488 on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will take place later in the day at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens.

If one wishes, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
