MACKENZIE, David John  - April 17, 1959 – October 12, 2017

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David J. Mackenzie.

He was a kind and loving son, brother, uncle and a dear friend to so many.

David grew up in Ancaster, Ontario and at the age of 18 he moved to Toronto.

He approached everything he did with enthusiasm and strove to give his very best, which is part of why he made many lifelong friends. He had a passion for theatre, classic movies and Divas, both on screen and off, as well as the great pop stars and was known for his kindness, charisma and colourful charm.

David was predeceased by his father, Hugh John Mackenzie.

He is survived by his loving mother Carolyn Mackenzie, sister Kathy Zurgilgen (Daniel), niece Emily of Invermere, BC and many extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Diabetes Canada in David's name.

A Celebration of Life was held on October 26, 2017.
