BEVILACQUA, Mario  - It is with shock and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mario on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at home.

Mario had a warm and kind personality; he lived life to the fullest each and every day.

Known for his sense of humour and his tremendous passion for soccer, Mario had a large circle of friends gained through the many homes he helped build, as well as his volunteer work in hockey and as an usher at Blessed Trinity Parish.

Mario was dedicated to his family, always willing to lend a hand and to teach others the skills he gained through many years as a cabinetmaker, craftsman and construction foreman. He was the love of his wife Colette's life and she, his, and will be forever loved and missed by his children: Bruno (Christine), Eddie (Margarida), Fanny and Irene (Mike).

He was "Bon Papa" to 7 grandchildren in whom he took great pride: Gillian, Sabine, Hannah, Michelle, Aidan, Simone and Briar. His support in their lives and the one-of-a-kind furniture pieces he built for them will always be treasured.

Mario was predeceased by his mother Olga (Castellano) and his father Giovanni. He will be dearly missed by his siblings in Canada and Italy: Giacomina (predeceased), Luigi (predeceased) (Maria), Marcello (Maria), Maria (Valentino) and Giacomina and his brother and sisters-in-law in France: Raymonde (predeceased), Alix (predeceased) (Jean (predeceased)), Elisabeth (Jean Luc (predeceased)), Roger (predeceased) (Mireille), Michel (Mireille) and Bernard (predeceased) (Marie Paule (predeceased)) and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and France.

Friends may call on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles).

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Parish, 3220 Bayview Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations to Easter Seals Ontario would be greatly appreciated by the family.
