NOAH, James (Jim)  - Passed away peacefully in his home on October 30, 2017 after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Jim was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland in 1939; the third of seven children and only son of Joseph and Isabel Noah.

Much loved husband of Joan for 42 years and father to Megan (Brent) and Patrick. Jim will be missed by his sisters Helen, Marion, Lorraine and Isabel and his niece and nephews.

After graduating from St. Mary's University, Jim attended teacher's college and became an Elementary School Teacher, spending 32 years working with the Catholic School Board.

Jim had travelled extensively over the years having visited Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Greece, Denmark, Costa Rica, Cuba and many more countries.

Jim loved to downhill ski and play golf. In his early years, he would often be found on a squash court. Jim loved to be around friends and family and had his own unique sense of humour. Jim and Joan were known for having an open house where they entertained many guests, especially in the summer by the pool.

Over the years, Jim was involved in various volunteer activities including St. Vincent de Paul and the Lions Club. The family wishes to thank Dr. G. Vertes and Dr. L. Smith for all their supportive medical care. Visitation will be held at the Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. (between Pharmacy and Warden), on Thursday, November 2nd from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 3rd at 11:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church with a reception at the Bluffers Park Restaurant to follow.
