It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rollit James Goldring (1937 - 2017) at Sunnybrook Hospital on October 31st.

Words cannot describe the anguish of losing such a strong force of love and kindness in this world.

Beloved partner of Cathy Carson and adoring caregiver to his dog, Abby.

oving father of Paul (Carolyn), Julie (Alex) and Mark (Nicki). Loving Grandpa to Adam, Ryan, Sarah, Jamie, Samantha, Allyson and Avery. Brother of the late Nancy Goldring. A caring stepfather to Drew and Tyler. Fondly remembered by Ann Goldring. Rolly was a dear friend to many neighbours, teammates and colleagues.

Rolly was a dedicated educator and a visionary who had a long and successful career with the Scarborough Board of Education. His passion for sports was lifelong, including playing basketball in the 1964 Olympics representing Canada and the tennis game he was winning last Friday when he suffered a catastrophic stroke.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunnybrook Health Centre for their exceptional care and support.
