DalCIN, Delmina (nee BASSO) - It is with broken hearts that we announce Delmina's passing on November 3, 2017, at home, in the presence of her family.
Delmina is survived by her loving husband, Domenico, her devoted daughters and caring sons-in-law, Mariarosa "Mary," Nancy (Ed Lachowicz) and Sonya (Nicholas Bayley).
She was also the very proud Nonna of Isabelle, Joseph, Rachel, Vincent and Gemma, whom she adored. She will be deeply missed by her cherished brother Egidio. She is reunited with her beloved parents, Ermenegildo and Rosalia and her grandsons Alexander and Stefan.
Delmina had a message for all of her close friends and relatives: "Tell them I love them."
Special thanks to Dr. Whitney, Dr. Ng and Dr. Lai for their compassion and excellent care over the last 28 years and to the staff and volunteers in the Oncology Unit at Mackenzie Health. The family would also like to thank the many nurses and caregivers who helped her remain in the comfort of her home.
At Delmina's request, there will be no public visitation. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 10295 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, ON, on Tuesday, November 7th at 11 a.m. with interment to follow.
No flowers, please.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Immaculate Parish or to the Mackenzie Health Oncology Unit, with appreciation from the family.
