MICHIE, Molly (nee POWELL) - November 23, 1923 – November 2, 2017
Molly slept away peacefully on Thursday evening at Baycrest Hospital after several weeks' illness.
She was a loving wife to Ian Michie for 70 years, excellent mother to Katharine Michie (Herb Hilder) and Fiona McConney (Garnet McConney), treasured Grannie to Ruth Hilder Daly (Kurtis Daly), Jane Hilder, Julia McConney and Rachel McConney.
She was a skilled creative homemaker, an active volunteer and honorary mother and grandmother to many new Canadians, a dedicated church member and a staunch supporter of Women's Rights.
Memorial service Thursday, November 9th at 2 p.m. at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 1 Greenland Road, Don Mills, reception to follow.
In accordance with Molly's interests, memorial donations to ARISE Ministry, 77 River Street, Toronto, M5A 3P1, would be appreciated. ARISE Ministry supports victims of sexual exploitation.
