SMITH, Donald Austin - July 15, 1936 - November 12, 2017
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Donald Austin Smith age 81.
Don passed away in his home in Mississauga on November 12, 2017, born July 15, 1936 to George and Christina Smith in Niagara Falls and brought up in Mimico, Toronto.
Third born of 4 boys. Don began his long and prominent career in real estate in 1974, beginning with A.E. LePage and retiring with Royal LePage in 2015.
Over his successful 40 year career, Don went on to earn every imaginable honour of distinction and accolade within organized real estate.
He will be remembered for his colourful personality, enormous generosity and as a consummate salesperson.
Don had a real passion for travel, sport and photography, but most of all to spend time with his family, friends and cat.
Don is survived by his three sons Scott, Jeffrey (Janine) and Donald (Angela), grandchildren Andrew, Laurynn, Taya, Jordan and Ashley, his sister-in-law Teresa, brother Bernard, the mother of his children Irene and life partner Maria. Don was predeceased by his second wife Helene and brothers George and Melvin.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Way.
