HOOKS, Marion (nee Wallace)  - Passed peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Mt. Sinai Hospital, surrounded by her family, in her 100th year.

Predeceased by the love of her life, Elmer Hooks (DDS), her sister Alison Littlefair, and her Scottish parents Archibald and Catherine Wallace.

She was the loving mom to Catherine Hooks-Hull (Bob Hull) and Don Hooks, and always "had our backs." Marion was a caring grandma to six, Jason, Caitlin, Jamie and Erin Hooks, Nathalie Hull-Caron (Toby) and Alison-Meghan Hull.

Adoringly nicknamed "Sarge," she was our family C.E.O., master entertainer and problem solver. Marion was the "last woman standing" in her "9M" bridge club for 51 years, and was an active member of the Garden Court Book Club and St. Augustine of Canterbury Church. She loved the many dogs in her life, more recently Larry, Ben, Brodie, Ralphie and Tucker. Big thanks to her devoted caregiver Theresa Iaboni, who became her best friend and advocate.

We would also like to thank all the nurses of the 10th floor north at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Mom was a voracious reader and got great pleasure out of the large print book collection at the Leaside Library.

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home, 1403 Bayview Avenue, for a celebration of Marion's life on Sunday, November 26th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. with tributes at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the tplfoundation.ca/donate/ in memory of Marion Hooks or drop off a large print book to your local library.
