ARICO, Francesco - It is with a heavy heart we announce the unexpected passing of Francesco Arico on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.
He passed away peacefully at 82 years of age in Scarborough General Hospital surrounded by his family.
Beloved husband of Francesca for 55 years.
Loving father of Anna (Glenn), Kathie (Mike), Rose (Bernie) and predeceased by Angelo. Proud Nonno of Sabrina, Richard, Tyler, Sebastian, Chris, Kevin, Brandon and Justin. Dear brother of Giuseppe, Anna, Nicolino, Sarina, Natale and predeceased by Martino. Son-in-law to Anna Di Maio.
Predeceased by his parents, Caterina and Francesco Arico. Everything he did in life was for his family, who he cared for so dearly. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him.
Known for playing professional soccer, his strong work ethic and also growing fruit trees. Francesco will always be remembered in our hearts for his dedication to his family, his generosity, sense of humour, and his passion for F1 – Team Ferrari. He will be sadly missed and will be in our hearts forever.
Visitation at the PAUL O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E., on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service in our Chapel on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
