LUZAR, Marie-Luise (nee Reisbitzen)  - August 17, 1936 – November 23, 2017

It is with immense sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved mother Marie-Luise (Lisa).

She was the centre of our world and will be profoundly missed by her children Debbie, Brigitte and Eric (Karen).

Affectionately known as Liesel by her husband Frank (2011) and Lisa to friends and family, she emigrated from Germany to Canada in the mid 1950s with her father Karl (1967), her mother Margaret (1989) and sister Ilse.

Family meant everything to Lisa. She delighted in her grand and great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Scott, Mitchell, Kristen, Derek (2009) and Benedikt.

Step- mother to Milos and Branko (1992), mother-in-law to Randy and Milka (2011), she will be missed by the many who knew her as Teta and Grandma, Rudi and Kristina, Peter and Michele, David, Alexander, Sebastian and Matthew, her extended Slovenian family who instantly embraced her as one of their own, Joseph and Mimi, Toncka, Fani, Karl, Mimi, Andrej, Janko, Erwin and Susan and her many close friends who grieve and share this loss.

We will miss her radiant smile, her enthusiasm and exuberance and her beautiful singing voice which filled our home.

Friends may call at Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W., Etobicoke, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Friday, December 1st at 11 a.m. followed by luncheon and interment.
