Lome Dr LillianLOME, Dr. Lillian Teresa, B.S.c., M.D.,   -  February 21, 1916 - November 22, 2017

Dr. Lillian Teresa Lome passed away peacefully in her 102nd year surrounded by family.

Loving mother to Sally, John, Douglas, Lawrence and Carol (Grant). Devoted grandmother to Ashley, Darius (Erin), Cristian, Lauren (Aaron), Randall, Brayden, Mackenzie, Madison and Keegan and a proud great-grandmother to Jamie, Kayla and Mason.

Lillian was predeceased by husband John Boye and son John Brian.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, where she lived all her life. One of only a handful of women to earn a medical degree from the University of Toronto, Medical School in 1941.

She will be remembered for her dedicated family health practice at the Women's College Hospital.

To Our Dearest Nanny, You devoted your adult life to caring and comforting others. Your passing leaves us remembering your adventurous spirit that ignited those around you.

You loved whole-heartedly and in turn were deeply adored by your caregivers Mary-Jo, Mildred and Stephanie. Our family is forever grateful for the profound support from The Temmy Latner group, The Anne Johnston Health Station and CCAC. Mom, Lilly, Doc, Nanny - you had such a full, rich life that enhanced and inspired so many. You were the truest kind of friend: "the finest word in any language."

You will be immensely missed. May you rest sweetly, with all our love.

A Funeral Mass will take place Friday, December 1st at 10:30 a.m. at Our lady of Perpetual Help (78 Clifton Road). A Celebration of Life to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Covenant House, The Anne Johnson Health Station or a charity of your choice.
