PUN, Mina (nee YU)   - 1942 - 2017  Mina passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on November 25, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mina was born in Hong Kong on February 27, 1942 to parents Ping Chau and Monica Yu.

She attended St. Paul's Convent School and St. Paul's Co-ed School. She earned a Masters in Physical Chemistry at the University of British Columbia in 1964. Mina met Edmund Pun at UBC and they married in 1966 in San Francisco. They settled in Ottawa where they worked and raised their family. Mina began her career in chemistry at Energy, Mines and Resources and then at Carleton University.

Mina was a member of the Ladies' Golf Club of Toronto and a devoted Catholic at St. Edward the Confessor.

Mina is survived by her devoted husband, children Michael (Connie), Vincent (Erika) and Angelina (Max), siblings Ytha Yu (Joanne), Anna Ho (Paul) and Henry Yu (Amy), eight grandchildren Emily, PJ, James, Hunter, Colton, Natalie, Langston and Corbin, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Her parents and two elder brothers predeceased her. Thanks to all who provided comfort and amazing care for Mina while she was at home, especially Dr. Desmond Leung and Tina Parassakis from NYGH and Rezvan Amin from VHAHH. Also thanks to Dr. Neesha Dhani and Shari Moura from PMH.

The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017.  A Funeral Mass will take place within the funeral home Chapel, on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 9:15 a.m.

Donations may be made in Mina's memory to North York General Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital.
