McKINLEY, Brian  - December 12, 1939 - November 25, 2017

Brian passed away in Toronto after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

He was 77 and is survived by his loving wife Noel and his children Michael, Tara and John.

Brian will be missed by many for his goodwill and great sense of humour. He was a fun man to be around and was always quick with a joke.

Friends and family will remember him as always being the life of the party. Brian loved singing and listening to music and he possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of big band and show tunes.

Throughout much of his life, Brian was actively involved in the militia.

He retired as Lieutenant Colonel and for a number of years was the commanding officer of the Fort Garry Horse in Winnipeg.

In addition to his militia service, Brian was also an Aide de Camp to the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba in the 1970s.

While living in Medicine Hat in the mid 1980s, he was an active member of the South Alberta Light Horse and participated in military training at CFB Suffield.

Private services will be held.
