BROOKES, Carol Anne  - Passed away suddenly at Sunnybrook Hospital on Saturday, December 2, 2017 in her 78th year.

Beloved wife of Ken "Satch" Brookes, devoted mother of the late Jackie and husband Rob Battaglini, Carolin and husband Morris Toppan and adoring Grandmother of Jack.

Carol will forever be remembered by her sister Elsie Craig of Calgary, brother Bill (Donna) May of Innisfil, sister-in-law Joan O'Rourke of Barrie, brother-in-law Les (Connie) Brookes of Toronto, nieces Mary-Jean (Ron) Arscott of Barrie, Ann-Marie (Andy) Tichelaar of Barrie and Susan (Brian) Roblin of Barrie as well as her many other nieces and nephews.

She will be dearly missed by dear friends who were like her family especially the Joslins – Judy and the late Dave, Jeff (Darlene), Mark (Cathy) Paul (Emma) and the Battaglini Family Carol and George, Bruno, Michael and Daniella.

Friends may call at the Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge Street, on Saturday, December 9th at 1 p.m., with a Service to follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Carol will fondly be remembered by her many friends for her generosity and for helping anywhere she was needed.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
