Dyke Dr GeorgeDYKE, Dr. George William Arthur, MD, FRCPC - March 4, 1952 – December 8, 2017

A Renaissance Man in a Modern World An extraordinarily humble man despite having so much to be proud of.

A true healer and nurturer, Dr. George spent his life giving to others, asking nothing for himself in return. A proud Newfoundlander throughout his life he treasured his trips home to "The Rock".

He loved his family, his home, his job and his life!

Fortunate and grateful to have shared his life and love and mourning his loss are his beloved wife Lani (Melanie Fellowes), children George Jr. (Lucy Keady), Helen Loiselle (Serge), Cathie Pearson (Steve), their mother Marion, Erin Campbell and Chris Campbell. Adored grandchildren Bernie, Nina and Leo Dyke; Hector, Sophie and Tessa Loiselle; and Liam Pearson will forever have fond memories of joyful times spent with their Poppy.

George was predeceased by his older brother John and will be greatly missed by his siblings Allister and Isobell Dyke, Ernie and Adair Dyke, Anne and Desmond Downey, Anthony and Dianne Dyke, Helen and Rick Hodder. Having suffered the ravages of Alzheimer's disease with strength and grace, this kind and wonderful man has now found peace.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the amazing staff of Sheridan Villa's first floor SBSU for their compassionate and expert care of George and his family throughout this extremely difficult and heartbreaking journey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Sheridan Villa SBSU or the Alzheimer Society of Peel.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Turner & Porter, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga, with family receiving friends starting at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place.

George's urn will be interred in the family plot in Newfoundland in the Spring of 2018.
