GEORGE, Doris Lillian (nee Glen)  - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doris George on Friday, December 8, 2017.

Born in Toronto to the late Catherine and Daniel Glen, Doris was a devoted daughter and sister.

Predeceased by her brothers Percival (Grace), Thomas (Marion) and Daniel (Shirley), her brother-in-law Lloyd (Jacoba), her sister-in-law Thelus and her niece Karen.

Beloved wife of the late Leonard George and loving mother of Glen (Sandy). Cherished Nana of Andrew (Ashley), Christopher (Audrey), Blake and Kathryn. She was a loving and proud great-grandmother to Josh. Doris will be greatly missed by her niece and nephews, Paul (Dianne), Stephen (JoAnne), Thomas, Susan (Ken), Rick (Julie) and their children.

As well, she will be missed by her large extended family. A longtime community supporter with countless hours dedicated to volunteering including 50 years of volunteer service at North York General Hospital.

Thanks to her neighbours for their kindness and support of Doris including Andrew and Maria. Special thanks to her niece Susan and her friends Patty and Karen for their enduring love and friendship of Doris.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 30th at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to L'arche Daybreak www.larchedaybreak.com or the Daily Bread Food Bank www.dailybread.ca.
