TOSONI, Marie (nee REID)  - Marie passed away peacefully at Houses of Providence, Scarborough, on Monday, December 18, 2017 in her 95th year.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony (Tony).

Dear mother of Mary and husband Chester, Elizabeth and husband Tom, Joan, Paul and wife Mary, Ann Marie and husband Herman, Louise, and the late Margaret

Loving grandmother of Robin (Mike), Jennifer (Ian), Meaghan (Derek), Matthew (Maura), Anthony, Adam (Dani), Simone (Philip), Daniel and extended family Bob, Kathleen and Sean; loving great-grandmother of Ryan, Malcolm and baby Harvest Marie; dear sister of the late Ann Platt and her husband the late Hugh and their children, her nieces and nephews: Betty Anne, Jonny, Mike, Gerry, Steve, Bernie, Barbara, Cathy, Carole, Clare, Greg, Tom and their many spouses, children and grandchildren. Marie was blessed with a long and rich life and will be remembered with great fondness by so many.

She was born on May 26, 1923 in Huntsville, ON, graduated from the University of Toronto, raised a large family, taught school for 15 years, played golf, loved life, but most important of all were her family and her faith.

Visitation at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St., on Friday, December 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gabriel's Passionist Parish, 670 Sheppard Ave. E., on Saturday, December 23rd, 10 a.m. with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence.
