Racioppa LeonardRACIOPPA, Leonard Joseph  - On Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in his 93rd year.

A "family-first" gentleman, who lived a remarkable love story with his wife Agnes (Raponi) of 65 years.

Loved and respected by his children: Michael and Kim Racioppa, Thomas and Ada Racioppa, Lenore Ursini, Donna-Marie and Stephen Forrester, Rosanne Racioppa, Gina and Jordan Rose and Paul and Lisa Racioppa.

Cherished by his grandchildren: Kael and Jessica, Mark and Emily and Aaron (Mary) Racioppa; David and Lisa Racioppa; Michelle, Alicia and Antonio, Jon- Michael and Alexa and Rachel Ursini; Christopher-Ryan and Lindsay and Daniel-James and Heather Forrester; Blake (Naomi), Nicole, Spencer and Tyler Rose. Adored by his precious great-grandchildren: Bianca, Julia, Jon-Marco and Benjamin. Brother of Lorraine and Anthony.

At 18 years of age, Leonard volunteered to serve with the Canadian Navy during World War II. Leonard was a hardworking and dedicated husband, father and grandfather and a beacon of joy and strength for all of us. He was a mentor who led by example. We have been blessed to have a lifetime of his wisdom, love, positivity and friendship. You will be missed by all of us but your memory will be in our hearts forever.

In recognition of Leonard's military service, donations may be made to Sunnybrook Foundation - Veterans Wing, 2075 Bayview Avenue, KGW-01, Toronto, ON M4N 3M5, (416-480-4483), or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 2300 Yonge Street, Suite 1300, Box 2414, Toronto, Ontario M4P 1E4, (416-489-7111).

The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27th.  A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place in the Chapel, on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
