DALTROP, Werner - Surrounded by members of his family, Werner Daltrop passed away peacefully this week at the age of 96.
Werner married his sweetheart, Esther (nee Kroch) in Montreal in 1945.
They were married for 64 loving years. He is survived by his children, Barbara and Elliott (Rothman), Paul and Kathy and Lorne. He was a loving grandfather to Brian and Elaine, Jeff and Julia, Sarah, Shira and Hanna. He was also a great-grandfather to Ethan, Ely, Mikayla, Megan, Matthew and Zoe.
During his nine-plus decades, Werner experienced the best of times, enjoying many years with his loving family. He survived the war years during in the 1940s, having been born in Stettin, Germany.
Werner lived out the last few years of his life at the Valleyview Nursing Home where he died on Tuesday of this week.
The family is grateful to Dr. Green and all the staff of 3 East who gave him such tender care.
